Cheap Multi Fuel Stoves

This stove comes with an oil pipe that is flat on the floor and is connected to the tank quickly.

The Primus Omnilite is an excellent stove, but it requires maintenance to ensure it is operating properly. It could be dangerous as it gets flaming when you are priming. This is a common problem with all stoves with liquid fuel that use a secondary spindle throttle on the stove's end to vaporize fuel instead of a generator coil.

Another issue is that it requires different jets for every type of fuel. If you cook using kerosene, then the jet hole will be smaller than if using gas. It's not a major issue, but it's worth mentioning.

MSR Whisper Light

The MSR Whisper Lite is one of the lightest, slimmest and most affordable multi fuel stoves. It is also simple to repair in the field. It can be used with either canister or liquid fuel and includes attachments for both. The new model is 10% lighter than its predecessor and the burner's system has been improved to ensure better heat distribution. This is a great choice for backpackers with a limited budget or beginners.

The whistler Lite requires a bit of time to prepare and prime, then boil water, but it's a reliable stove that won't fail you. The flame is extremely powerful and can easily boil one Liter of water in two minutes. The only drawback is that it doesn't simmer like other stoves.

MSR created the Dragonfly to be a more powerful burner. It has a similar design like the whistler, but it is more compact and provides better performance. It's not as affordable as the Whistler Lite. The Soto Amicus cookset and stove is an excellent alternative, providing a similar setup for half the price. You can also purchase a Whisperlite International or Universal for isobutane canisters as well. Both versions use the same design and style, however the Universal version is also compatible with canister fuel.

This makes it easy to use and a great choice for beginners, backpackers who want to save on weight and for those who want to keep an extra or two in the van.

It is designed to burn Coleman's exclusive fuel (naptha gas, also referred to as white gas) The stove can be used with unleaded gasoline, as well. It takes a bit of practice to get a good blue flame on a stove that burns liquid fuel. You'll have to pressurize them and prime them properly before you can start. They can also be referred to by other names such as white gas, isobutane kerosene, and unleaded gasoline/car petrol.
