Guild Wars 2 Item Upgrade

Item upgrade, also called "upping," improves an item's stats. Each upgrade increment increases the stat linearly.

Players can recycle up to six items at once to gain a level gauge for each of the item's upgraded components. The cost of recycling items increases depending on their rarity and level.

Upgrade components

A level upgrade in Guild Wars 2 is a process that can increase the stats of your armor and weapons. This can be achieved by a variety of methods such as using upgrade components or increasing the rarity of an Item upgrader kit or its mark level. Additionally there are many items that can be reforged, which could increase their stats.

Rerolled items don't appear in the menu of item upgrades, but they can still be upgraded. These rerolled items can be recycled by pressing the "upgrade" button that alters the appearance of the window and allows up to six items to be selected to recycle. Recycling an item can add a small amount of points to its level gauge. This amount is determined by the item level upgrade's rarity as well as its level, which means higher-level items are more valuable to recycle than lower level ones.
