If you're on a tight budget and don't require a stroller that doubles as car seat carriers, the Babyzen Yoyo is a good option. It comes with a flip-flop-friendly one-step footbrake.

It's also easy to push and feels sturdy in navigating kerbs or woodland pathways. It's also easy to fold.

1. Babyzen YOYO2

The Babyzen YOYO2 has earned itself a reputation for being the ultimate stroller that is lightweight, suitable for city dwellers as well for jet-setters. This is thanks to its nimble maneuverability and fold-down design that can be incorporated into the overhead baggage of an aircraft. The most recent version features independent suspension on all four wheels that is made of Hytrel elastomer to 'perfectly navigate through all kinds of surfaces and terrain'.

The frame's base YOYO2 frame, curved fabric bassinet and six-month color pack make a stylish and elegant pushchair that is easy to look at and has a subtle but elegant aesthetic and tasteful branding. The frame itself weighs less than a kilo and is so light you can easily lift it out of the box (and do it with one hand).

The hood, for instance is able to snap onto the YOYO2 with a reassuring way. It is also machine washable up to 30 degrees which helps avoid staining caused by smushed and mashed carrot puffs and rice cakes. The Newborn Pack and bassinet can be used from birth as an infant stroller. It could also be converted into a stroller after 6 months with the YOYO connect other chassis.

2. Evenflo Pivot Xplore

Evenflo Pivot Xplore stroller wagon is an excellent choice for parents who are looking for a stroller that is versatile. It transforms from a stroller into a wagon just by flipping the handle, meaning parents can choose the mode they prefer for their trip. The wagon can be used by one or two kids from 6 months to 5 years, and it comes with a large storage basket for all of your on-the-go needs.

The Xplore also has two canopies that turn from front to back, ensuring ample sun protection for all family members. It also has a footwell that's not as deep or large as other wagons, which means it may not be ideal for long excursions or for napping.

The frame on the Xplore is solid and sturdy however it doesn't have the same flex as some of the other wagons we have tested. It is also more difficult than other wagons to fold, and it's not able to lock tight after folding. It is easy to move, though, and it is able to fit through narrow 28 inches doors.

3. Delta Children LX Side by Side

This Delta Children bare-bones travel stroller is a great choice for parents looking for a second stroller that's affordable. It scored well in our Strollers and Multiples Test for weight and fold dimensions, meaning it is lightweight, compact when folded, and easy to move and store in a trunk for your car. It also offers a multi-position reclining seat and an adult cup holder. Other features worth mentioning include two large hanging storage bags and 360-degree shock-absorbing front wheels.

It did better in our push and turn test than many of the strollers we tested, but was nonetheless difficult to maneuver on uneven ground or through narrow doors. The sunshades it has are among the most compact we tested, with only a direct overhead coverage and no windows that peek out. The UPPAbaby G-Link 2 and Zoe Twin+ have significantly larger sunshades.

The Delta took us just under 3 minutes to put together using an average manual and all of the components required tools. But, it's lacking some critical features that we believe you should consider non-negotiable in a double stroller for example, a larger basket, and reclining seats with adjustable leg rests.

4. Maxi-Cosi Zelia 2-in-1

The Zelia is the most recent model in Maxi-Cosi's range of pushchairs and is advertised as an urban travel system. It is suitable from birth until 3.5-years-old. The seat and carrycot can be easily converted with just a few clicks. It can be used with Maxi-Cosi capsule car seats, and comes with the lightweight Mico 30 infant car seat, a stay-in-car base and a reversible carriage.

It's really easy to manoeuvre and the one-hand reclining of the seat and the super large shopping basket make it simple for parent-tots to get the child in and out of the seat quickly. Despite this being quite a narrow pushchair it handled the everyday bumps with ease and was able to pass through doorways without fuss.

The front wheels can be locked in a forward position or let them swivel which can be helpful when crossing rough terrain. When we walked on the stony path, we allowed them to swivel and it handled this fairly well, though it did appear more bumpy than the other models in our test.

5. Baby Jogger City Tour 2

Baby Jogger is most famous for its 3-wheeled all-terrain, strollers that jog. However, they also produce a wide selection of pushchairs with four wheels. City Tour 2 is their most loved model. It is easy to use and folds small enough to fit into a car boot even with the carrycot attached.

It's a little heavier than the other strollers we tried, however the wheels are made of rubber composite, which makes it feel well-built and sturdy. It is easy to maneuver across different terrains, and even with two kids, a shopping bag and other things.

Both the carrycot and seat have hoods that can be lowered to reveal the UV50+ sun canopy extensions. They are waterproof and strong, unlike some other prams' hoods that are whipped back into toddlers faces.

It doesn't have a lot of storage space, however it does come with a huge basket that's big enough to hold a changing bag and plenty of food items. You can also use it with the Baby Jogger car seat that is suitable for babies up 20 lbs (car seat and adapters are sold separately). If you need a stroller that is able to be taken on the road, then the City Tour 2 is an excellent option.

6. Nuna Mixx Next

Nuna Mixx was a stroller that won the hearts of many parents when it first appeared. It's an aluminum-framed stroller which can be used from the infant's earliest days through. It is a standout model with many unique features, like the capacity of the seat to flip between parent and world facing, a large UPF50+ canopy with an eye-shade that flips out, as well as an adjustable handlebar.

The chassis is equipped with a suspension system built-in which reduces the impact of bumpy terrain. The wheels are constructed from tough foam and minimise punctures. Our tester found it smooth to push and was able to manoeuvre it through narrow streets without difficulty.

It folds in four simple steps and locks automatically without fuss. It can also stand and be trolleyed for easier transport in the boot of your car or down the stairs at home. It also comes travel system ready with the option to add a car seat and a carrycot using the included adaptors. The brakes are simple to use with single standing stroller action, colour coded and flip-flop friendly.

7. Babyzen Duet

This single pushchair that is budget-friendly is surprisingly easy to maneuver and has excellent dual suspension, a one-hand fold and a convenient carry strap. It's also light and sturdy. The seat is reclined in several positions. It comes with a built-in double-breathable mattress that can be used from birth.

The canopy/seat comes with two big sun visors, which can be fixed or removed. Both are UPF50+. The toggle closure isn't the best single stroller 2024 because it's not as quiet as Velcro and could awaken napping babies.

The Duet is a side-by-side stroller and can be configured to accommodate twins or other siblings (up to 22kg maximum per seat). It is compatible with two infant car seats and some carrycots. In twin mode seats, the seats can be positioned so that they face each the other. They can also be set to face the parents. This should reduce sibling disputes over who sits with mom and dad. It comes with a large bottle holder, a gear tray, snack trays and an adjustable mat. It also has a compact stand fold, and an automatic frame lock.

8. Baby Jogger Urban Glide 2

The Thule Urban Glide 2 is a jogger that's ideal for parents who want to keep active. It's one of the lightest running strollers you can buy for your child. It also comes with excellent safety features such as a 5-point harness and safety wrist strap. It also features an innovative twist hand brake that's distinct from the lever-type used on rival models.

The seat is well padded and provides a wide area to sit. However, the seat isn't as deep as those of other runners (it's just 10 inches deep") The storage bin is covered with a zipper to keep things secure. It can hold up to 10lbs that is enough for most diaper bags.

The Urban Glide 2 isn't compatible with bassinets for infants or car seats as it comes, but you can use it right from the start by purchasing adapters for the majority of seats made by brands like BOB, Graco, Combi, Evenflo, Britax, and UPPAbaby. It folds up compactly and takes about 5-10 minutes to put together with no tools. The user manual is easy to read and is available in multiple languages.
